Dispute Results Back - Questions - Pls Help!

Just saw my dispute results directly from TU. I did well.. sort of.  However, I spent 20 min with the rep on the phone and they have to send me a written copy. For some reason when I click on to see the corrected credit report it isn't showing the corrections.   Has that happened to any of you?
I told him to mail me the corrected report. He said it will take another 14 days.   He pulled my report and he shows the corrections on his side.  Does not make sense!  Also, my score is the same when pulling it via my FICO. It keeps sitting at 625 even with all the latest dispute results in.  Thank makes no sense at all. Is it not updating for me because I now have a 2nd round of disputes in process????

TU Dispute Results:
AMERICAN COLLECTIONS NEW INFORMATION (0 balance/wouldnt PFD for $115.00)
 WFFNB DELETED
 AFNI      DELETED
 CREDIT CONTROL CO  DELETED
 NATIONWIDE CREDIT CORPO DELETED
NCO FINANCIAL SYSTEM VERIFIED, NO CHANGE   (not sure now what to do - they won't remove so i think I'm stuck.  No goodwills, no PFD. I paid them off before becoming a FICOIAN =( _
WELLS FARGO NO LONGER ON FILE/DELETE

TU New Round of Disputes opened last night:
CAP ONE  (have not updated balance to zero yet - cap 1 said I should dispute it to get it updated)
CREDIT PROTECTION ASSOC  This was paid with OC comcast and should have been deleted.

I have documentation to fax CRA on both so hopefully this will go smoothly too.

I really just hope the -20 drop in my numbers are part of the dispute process.  I got a score watch alert. See detail below.

Does anyone know if Northwest is the same as Wells Fargo??  What's the deal with them?  This was always managed under Wells Fargo before.  It was just a couple 30 day latest that I had dv'ed.  Tried a GW as well but no dice.  Not sure about next steps.  When do you send another GW? Any one have 2nd GW letters or do I just suck it up and live with it. Hope that it falls off soon since it is old.
TU dropped Wells Fargo. Has anyone ever tried to use documentation from one CRA or a 3 in 1 to help your case with getting an adverse account removed?

Also, Cap One is a card that was a CO that I settled on for half the balance.  Due to age I am hoping it falls off soon anyway and that I didn't reset the DoLA by the settlement. So far it is still showing 5/1/2001. Can I dispute this in a couple months based on it being too old?  Do I do that with the CRA's or OC? Should I try a GW?

Re: Dispute Results Back - Questions - Pls Help!

Norwest was bought by Wells Fargo.  It was a much better customer service related bank before it was bought.  Trust me, been there... DOLA doesn't affect drop off.  That's related to the DOFD.  It should still drop in May.

Re: Dispute Results Back - Questions - Pls Help!

Just to start, TU is not included in SW updates, only EQ changes.

Congrats on the clean up. SW can be late to detect changes that do not effect scores. Sometimes removing collections if others are present does not effect scores. You will need to get a copy of your cr for TU. SW will not show these changes for TU.

Try a monitoring service like True Credit for actual daily updates for all 3 CRAs.

Re: Dispute Results Back - Questions - Pls Help!

Yea.. was just reading that on the web. Odd though they are now reporting it as Northwest since I was always on the Wells Fargo side.  Thanks so much for the clarification about DOFD.

I'm so anxious to see if I am going to get more of a point increase with all the work I've been doing since Jan.  Spending a fortune on pulling scores/reports every couple weeks or more. I need to just sit back and relax a bit. I was really hoping I could buy a new home with a prime rate mortgage in a year. I'd like to try to save up the 20% down as well but not sure how realistic that is. The longer I hold off the better chance I will be able to do that.   Working on banking my salary and even moved in with family to cut costs for the next 8- 12 months to accelerate the process.  FHA is always another option  with 5% down but it would be so nice to get my scores up and go with another lender.  Ideally I want to not pay the mortgage insurance and get a decent rate.  My util is very good right now  - under 10% and hopefully all of that will get updated in the next 30 - 60 days too and have an impact. The 700 club seems pretty far right now especially when it comes to the EQ folks.

Thanks!!

Re: Dispute Results Back - Questions - Pls Help!

Thanks for the congrats!

I do understand the SW is just EQ. Dealing with two issues here. Sorry if I wasn't clear.

Issue One:  I pulled theTU and EX score anyway when I got this alert. I also went direct to TU and did disputes online there.  TU is still not showing updates to what they call my "corrected report."  The dispute results are not matching the corrected report in other words.   They show a ca as deleted but it is still on there.

I *think* this might be because I have a 2nd round of disputes open but the rep there said he sees an updated report on his side. Makes no sense.

Good idea on True Credit.  Might be more cost effective.  I am registered for all three sites. I just tend to stick with FICO when it comes for pulling scores.

Issue Two:  EQ showing -20 pt drop but maybe that is just due to the accounts being placed in a "dispute status"  ?????  I'm just trying to figure out how that would cause a drop.
