Disputing a name

I have one of those names if you flip the first and the last the whole thing still sounds like a valid name. On my credit report it says I am also known as my "first name, last name".  It doesn't seem to have any negative impact but is it worth the trouble to dispute?

Re: Disputing a name

Is it one CRA or all 3? Do they have both names or just the wrong one? I had a wrong middle initial. Disputed it via fax with a copy of my DL to them with a copy of the report showing the wrong initial. No online or phone calls. Gone in 3 days.

Re: Disputing a name

Mine shows FirstName LastName and LastName FirstName and I've never disputed it because it doesn't seem to be negatively affecting me and I was worried it would be more trouble than it's worth.

On the other hand, they had a wrong variant of my first name and I about snapped on them and made them fix that because I hate that variant.
If it bugs you, fix it.  If it's not affecting your credit and it doesn't bother you, your call.

You don't like when people spell it Calix?

Don't start with me, Bryan.

Re: Disputing a name

Thank you guys!

Only on Experian but where I live every lender and their mother pulls Experian.  My correct name is there as the main name, only the "also known as" names are wrong.  Experian also give me the wrong middle initial in the "also known" name.

Think I will leave it there.

Re: Disputing a name

I have one "also known as" on one report, I think it's TU. The last two letters of my last name are wrong, I'd be willing to bet it's from a hand written car loan app in 2003, my handwriting has always been terrible. I don't think it's worth bothering with.
