Ok last month when I joined experian my fico 8 was 644 and the same on myfico. Then it went up to 650 on both sites. Then 4 days ago my fico 8 went up to 676 on experian.com but is still at 650 on myfico. Is there sometimes a delay on myfico?
Yes. MyFico updates slower than writing a letter to the bureaus, walking it there yourself, walking back and having it hand delivered via a 95 year old grandmother.
I'm only slightly exaggerating, but yes, MyFico is very, very slow.
Well that means my transunion could be over 700 by now! Currently listed as 690 on here.
One of the biggest reasons I canceled my myfico subscription was the long time it took to update anything. Experian Credit Tracker would report a change quickly, and myfico would not report that same change for 9 or 10 days many times. Not paying for that slow speed. ![]()
If you're relying on myFICO monitoring then keep in mind that it is trigger based and does not update on fixed intervals. Make sure you understand the triggers and that not all activity with a scoring impact is a trigger.
If you need/want more frequent and/or fixed update intervals then consider one of the other commonly discussed services such as CCT.
Thanks Takeshi, I think I'll be getting rid of myFICO... It definitely is updating too slow for a paid service, especially when the product they are selling is one of their own! I went and did the trial with CCT... my scores had such a big change this month that there should be no reason why myFICO should not have sent an update.
