It's a dollar only if you agree to other monitoring services costing a lot more.

Re: EXperian Score for $1

I haven't checked this offer recently, but I pulled this a little over a month ago and as long as you cancelled within the trial period, you didn't pay more than a dollar.  I think you had to cancel within a week.  I cancelled within 15 minutes and was only charged one dollar.

Starting Score: ~500 (12/01/2008)
Current Score: EQ 681 (04/05/13); TU 98 728 (01/06/12), TU 08? 760 (provided by Barclay 1/2/14), TU 04 728 (lender pull 01/12/12); EX 742 (lender pull 01/12/12)
Goal Score: 720

Re: EXperian Score for $1

I'm sure the cancellation is quick.  I get a bit squeemish giving out my credit card number for trial periods on products -- I've heard horror stories.  That's just my take on it.

Re: EXperian Score for $1

Did this and one of my 3 AU lines is now reporting.  My Dad's Discover card, 2002.

This was 685 8 months ago, now 735.

735 here translates to a 720 FICO, roughly?

BofA Cash Rewards VS - $25k | Citi Double Cash World MC - $18.9k | Amex BCE - $50k | Discover it - $50k | Chase Freedom Unlimited VS- $10k | Barclay Ring $5k |

Re: EXperian Score for $1

They are selling you a FAKO score which is worthless.  The real service they provide is credit monitoring.

Re: EXperian Score for $1

I didn't mean I was paying them for their scores, just supporting that their score are crap! Ya, for seven bucks a month I can see every new detail in my credit report with freecreditscore.com. Sorry it's just too darned expensive to keep buying reports here all the time! I just don't put a single thread of stock into the score though. I learned that the hard way before I learned about this site.
