Hello,
I have an unauthorized inquiry by SYNCB/PAYPAL on 11/13/2019. I have never applied to any PayPal product. I only have Synchrony Amazon.
I can't log in none of the Equifax products to lock/dispute. Phone conversations take 1 hour with them and in the end no solution. Reps are repeating themselves like a robot.
I was trying to lock my file on Equifax.
What should I do ?
You cannot dispute HP with CRA. You'll need to call Synchrony and have them help you with this
If you dispute with CRA, all they can do is place a fraud alert for you
Errors happen, so before you go through a hassle of having fraud alert, ensure that it's not an error first.
If you cannot lock EQ, you can always request a freeze. It's free to freeze and also to unfreeze
Equifax is the worst customer service, I have ever seen. They don't even know what you are talking about. Reps barely understand English and forwarding long departments. It takes hours to talk with someone knowledgable. I can't access their tools except you have to pay monthly for premier.Very bad agency! EQUIFAX HAS TO BE CLOSED!

The other two also utilize off shore centers, as do most companies you deal with every day. That trend will not end, and if you intend to continue using credit cards, some getting used to on your end may be needed
Your issue here has nothing to do with EQ. They did not cause it, they cannot fix it. Process would be no different if it was any of the other CRAs.
You can do what was described above, or you can continue calling.
