So thanks to aggressive actions with CRAs I was able to boost my Experian score - this is so fat the only CRA that has managed to correctly reflect all balances and remove the frivolous colleciton. Thanks to this I got 767 "headline" aka useless score and 754 auto and was able to buy a car at 0%. So far so good. Now need a mortage refi and the bank says they are gonna pull all three and look at the score that's in the middle. TU has so far completely fail to update the freaking CC balances. Its been 4 days since it has been reported to CRAs and nada. Zero help from their customer service, twitter or direct email to executive team. What a trash of a company. So while I wait for them to get the **bleep** together, which could be never for all I know.... I turned my eyes to Equifax. Another team of winners there clearly. Their own product for which I had to sign up over the phone shows my score as of 5/14 at 664. MyFico shows Equifax's score at 750. No discrepancies in underlying data. Whaaat? What gives? Also Equifax's crappy system won't show me Mortgage specific score, and their simulator basically never gets me over 700 even if I enter that I repay my balances to zero. What is the lender going to see when they pull Equifax then - 664 or 750-ish? I need to pick my battle here, who do I want to nag - TU or Equifax since I need 2 scores out of 3.
it can be frustrating waiting on scores - but i have found that
1. negative items post very quickly
2. positive items take the normal reporting time which can be 30-45 days
it sounds like you have just cleared up some derogs - so another 2-5 weeks and it should be reflected across all scoring
Equifax does not provide a FICO score directly to consumers. So whatever score you're looking at is either their own proprietary score or a VantageScore 3 score. Neither of the two are used for mortgages. The scores used for mortgages are FICO score 2 (Experian), FICO Score 5 (Equifax), and FICO Score 4 (TransUnion).
Not sure what you mean they don't provide it? Here's what it shows on my "dashboard" on Equifax. Looks to me like they have provided it to me? Not trying to be snarky just clarifying your point

What Equifax product are you subscribed to? When you look at their Complete Premier product you see the following disclaimer: "The Equifax® credit score and 3-bureau credit scores are based on the Equifax credit score model. Third parties use many different types of credit scores and will not use the Equifax credit score or 3-bureau credit scores to assess your creditworthiness."
As far as I know Equifax does not give FICO scores to consumers; you have to purchase it either through MyFICO or Experian (CreditCheckTotal) or get it free through a lender.
This isn't Premier. This is direct equifax account that can be accessed via http://myservices.equifax.com/login
To setup login credentials you have to call them on the phone, kid you not - no way to sign up online. Also I changed my name 6 years ago and they still havent updated it (everybody else has). Like I said, another team of winners.
Oh! TU just saw the light and updated my file. Must be all that angry tweeting.
That's very interesting. It has been common knowledge that an EQ subscription provides an EQ proprietary score as indicated in this link. If they've changed that would be awesome since EQ FICO scores are elusive and I can only get them through MyFico. Curious, what is the score range on your account? 280 - 850 or 300 to 850?
