I think I have an unusual situation. I have a tendency to soft pull my reports a lot. I'm one of those people who has become addicted to watching my scores climb and reports improve. I have myfico, check CK, Equifax, TU and CCT.
In February my Equifax report wouldn't update on anything. I called and no one could help me, except one department that is open M-Th and I always seem to have time on the days it's closed. Finally after 6 weeks of trying I was told I have a split file (I've been told since I don't). The lady "fixed" my report. BUT on Equifax it said I had a 703, but myfico was saying 640. It used to always have the same score. Now it's never the same and it doesn't translate correctly to any other service I use. Also none of my AU accounts are on my reports. AND now if I check my sights "too often", which translate to about 10 times....BAM locked out again!
On Equifax you call pull daily, but if I use that product daily my accounts become frozen! It's really aggravating. I asked them to delete the soft pulls and was told they would be, but they are not deleted and I still have the same issue.
Anyone else have CB craziness? I think when I get this fixed I'll just dump the Equifax monitoring service since I have no willpower to NOT check....
D
Yes!! I have the same issue going on now. Not a split file though. I am addicted to checking Equifax everyday as well. Thats what we are paying for. Anyways, they are in the process of deleting the soft pulls. They said it could take up to 10 days to complete. I'm still getting alerts, but I can't obtain a new report daily. If it's not complete in another week I will call and cancel.

Thank you it makes me feel so much better to know I'm not the only one! Does your score report correctly?
It appears it does. Remember, the score we get from Equifax monitoring is their method of scoring. But it is very close to my fico 8 score. By just a few points.

Prior to this craziness it was always the same. Now it's around a 50 point difference. It's aggravating. I think once they fix the problem I'm going to discontinue the service. It's too much temptation!
I know what your saying. I have tried to restrain myself too. But everyday I check it. It is stupid of me... Just paranoid that something will show up that I was unaware of. A new collection or something. You know how it is.
What is the reason behind getting the soft pulls removed? They don't affect your score and not viewable to potential creditors, right? I too am addicted to checking my report daily, but now that I signed up for the monitoring sites I receive notifications when a change happens, but just curious to know if I should request for soft pulls to be deleted.

With Equifax monitoring you can pull a new report daily as part of your membership. When you do that it soft pulls your Equifax report. Eventually, that page of your file fills up with soft pulls to the point where you can't soft pull yourself anymore. So you have to request that field (soft pulls by you) on your Equifax file to have all the soft pulls deleted. Creditkarma can no longer soft pull you either.
