Y'all, I am so sick of Equifax. Lol. Can somebody explain to me why when you sign up with them for credit monitoring, they give you a vantage score? Literally the most useless tool they could ever give. I also thought it was like Experian where I can purchase one time my current mortgage score. I don't see that anywhere. Does anybody have any ideas? I don't want to pay for myFico since mine will update on the 27. I'm just impatient.

Patience little rabbit XD       But seriously though I hated the EQ site.....I had paid for it for a while too but it's always late reporting for me and missing information and etc etc seriously unreliable and a few times told me I had the wrong password when I didn't........My absolute least favorite of the 3

I'd never pay for EQ credit scores and monitoring. It's well known that they use internal scoring and Vantage 3.0.

Yeah. I kept reading and I could not fathom even joining Equifax. A vantage score is seriously useless. Lol. I guess I will just wait until the 27th, I guess. Haha

Oh, also, I called Equifax to get them to unlock my account and they asked why I wanted to see my credit report. 🤦🏼‍♀️ Is this some sort of joke to them?

I had joined, not realizing that the score they provided was an internal score. I also have a paid subscription to MyFICO. I was wondering why the score equifax was showing me was so much lower than what was reported everywhere else. I thought at first that something must have been wrong. Surely the Equifax site would have the right score considering they are the cra. A little reading goes a long way when you are signing up for something. I cancelled when I found out how they got the scores they provide.

It really is mind boggling as to why the Equifax site would give a vantage score.....it seems really weird and fishy to me.

I can't get over this revelation! So is the Experian score an actual Fico score? 

This all makes sense now. I couldn't understand why I couldn't pull scores for TU and EX on any other site cause it always said not enough history. 

Thought EQ was just efficient. Turns out they are just thieves! I cancel today. 

What I'm learning in this forum!!!

@Anonymous  Hahahhaa. Yes! They're the absolute worst! Experian is a fico8 score. And you can purchase other scores, or certain subscriptions include them.
