Has anyone here's score gone up with Experian boost? Mine has never gone up.
It's been reported that it doesn't work for everyone, and when it does, it only has an effect on FICO 8 EX score. If a lender is using another scoring model, the boost is essentially useless.
It gave me an immediate 20 point bump at the beginning of my rebuild but I disconnected it when I had made good progress on my own. I did not lose any points when disconnecting.
It IS bogus. Legitimate lenders do not use it and many require that a consumer get rid of it before processing an application. It is nothing more than a phishing program that data mines where you are spending your money then sells that information to other businesses and creditors. As was already said unless a lender uses a very specific EX scoring model it means nothing. Get rid of it.
From my seat and in reading, several financials ignore the Experian Boost effect and I suspect it is more for marketing than reality.
Much like the don't "Freeze" your Experian Credit Bureau Report! "Lock" it with Experian. Nonsense. It is no more effort to freeze than lock and you have the real thing then.
Marketing!
I had no idea about this so I gave it a shot today and removed the 7 personal accounts I had been reporting in Boost. My score dropped 4 points. I believe it was probably because of this statement:
Your percentage of accounts with no delinquencies decreased.
When all my baddies drop off next year that will be moot and my score will probably rebound.

I remember thinking this exact scenario when it first came around, given what the whole credit scoring system is measuring - one's ability to handle credit, and has absolutely nothing to do with paying bills in general. There's zero credit extended to me from my utility company, streaming services or landlord, and bills like those shouldn't factor in to a credit model anyways.
It ranks right up there with the people whining that they have a lousy credit score when they don't use any credit. Well, duh! It's like trying to gauge a pilot's ability to fly a plane when said "pilot" has never so much as stepped foot on a plane.
My score is back where it should be this morning (gained that 4 points back) so... BOGUS!
