I have temp monitoring for a little while through Exp but I looked at my file after my collection account was deleted on Wed and the score was 748. The next day I refreshed the report and it was 736. What gives?? I think i was told that the scores through Experian are FAKO scores? Also, is it possible it dropped because I pulled it myself? Where I get the most accurate Experian score? Thanks.

You cannot buy your Experian score anywhere. Your score will not drop because you pulled it yourself. Yes, what you pulled we call a FAKO score, because it is not a Fico score. Experian does not sell the Fico score any longer. What you are getting is probably either a PLUS or VANTAGE score. Whether they go up, down, or sideways is anyone's guess. Since they are seldom or never used by lenders it is basically useless. It is marketed as an educational score. I give it an F grade every time. Don't waste your money. Best way to get your Fico is from a lender if you apply for credit and they pull Experian, or if you belong to PSECU credit union, or one or two other member limited sources at best. You can pull your EQ Fico score here as it will match exactly to a lender pull. You could then cross-check your EQ and EX reports and compare them to estimate your Experian score yourself. Would most likely be a lot closer than the FAKO versions. http://ficoforums.myfico.com/t5/General-Credit-Topics/Experian-scores-quot-FAKOs-quot-Why-can-t-you-...
