Experian is Interesting

I sent Experian a dispute over 2 inquiries that I did not initiate, and about 1 account that was not reported correctly.  This was in writing, since I disputed the first time online and you all know how they will not let you re-dispute online.

Anyway, I suppose they were going to teach me a lesson for making them do some work and actually verify the information.  They put a fraud alert on my account, and sent me a letter saying that they put it on my account at my request.  What?

I just tried pulling my CR from FICO, and sure enough they did put a fraud alert on my account.  I have to wait until tomorrow to call FICO to answer some questions.

I honestly believe that Experian is the Anti-Christ.  I Googled for the name of the founder of Experian, and below is what came up.

When I call tomorrow, I will have the Holy Water waiting!

Ha, good one! I equate CRAs with nasal mucus!

TU = a least slimmy type of nasal mucus; dry and green (salty I guess)Smiley Very Happy

EQ = a nastier form; wet and yellowSmiley Very Happy

EX = very nasty; a slimmy yellow with a drop or two redSmiley Mad

Re: Experian is Interesting

From my experience the only way EX will investigate a hard inq is if you have a fraud alert on your account.

Re: Experian is Interesting

John, you googled wrong--that's EQ, EX's inept identical twin.
* Credit is a wonderful servant, but a terrible master. * Who's the boss --you or your credit?
FICO's: EQ 781 - TU 793 - EX 779 (from PSECU) - Done credit hunting; having fun with credit gardening. - EQ 590 on 5/14/2007

Re: Experian is Interesting

Yeah Experian won't dispute a hard inquiry without a FA on your account. I'd personally let them finish the dispute and then call and have the FA removed. Just remember that once Experian places the FA on your account they will report it to the other two, EQ and TU. So remember to call those people too. While you have an FA on your account call and get your phone number put on your credit file. That way creditors if they need it can get past the FA by calling your directly.

Re: Experian is Interesting

If this is 90 FA - just let it drop off in 90 days.
After you auth MYFICO- you can pull all you want.

FA's have to be removed in writing-

I tried pulling for my sister with her 90 FA and she called myFICO but we still can't pull....Scorewatch is working but we can't buy any new reports.....we can directly from EQ but that's it. What am I missing?
