Experian is "missing" an account on their online portal. Has anyone had this happen?

I have a collection account with Verizon.

If I pull my real EX report, it is listed.

If I log into the free credit score and report that is updated every 30 days with EX, it is not listed on there, anywhere.

It's been on there for like a year, so it can't be a matter of them not updating.

I would not trust any 3rd party credit monitoring.  You can get a free account with EX directly.  If the EX website shows the account, it is real.

I had a similar situation with an old, late Student Loan.  Credit Sesame and Credit Karma did not pick it up but the CRA had it on my report.  It was a legit account so I could not get it deleted.

The thing is, it's not a 3rd party, it's Experian's own credit monitoring service, literally on their website.

Although the score is the same on the free acct and my subscription acct, the free one shows I have a higher number of accounts in total than I actually have.  It doesn't lists those "ghost" accounts but the count shows a greater number.  There are a few other differences but I stopped using it several months ago since I have the subscription and noticed this difference.

Experiencing the same issue here with Exp. A positive account missing on exp site. Creditor says its due to a split file and can take up to 30 days to resolve. In the meantime a 24 point fico hit cause all other cc reporting "0" balance. Gotta love it. Maybe you too, have a split file. They tell me, missing accounts are a good indicator.
