@Anonymous wrote:Perhaps after I pull a CR from Transunion the Citi FICO will eventually update the comments.
That's not how it works.
First - Citi is not offering a Transunion score, it's a FICO score based on Equifax data.
Second, pulling your reports from one source doesn't make it update elsewhere. Citi has to update their own data by pulling your report and scores.
And having a freeze won't prevent you from pulling updated scores/reports, nor will it prevent Citi from doing so as you have an existing relationship.
Looks like I am screwed then. Equifax report has not shown any late or missed payments since I disputed the inaccurate data 6 months ago and my CITI CC has updated the score about 10 days ago, but still has the comment:
Key Factor(s) Affecting Your FICO® Score:
Missed and late payments, including the number of late payments, how late they were, and how recently they occurred, are important to FICO® Scores. Your score was impacted because your credit report shows one or more accounts with missed payments.

@Anonymous need to pull your Equifax report from annualcreditreport.com and scour it for the lates. that's the most accurate source you can get. Then come back and tell us what you find.
@Anonymous - You need to also double check the date that the information was pulled. Citi pulls the EQ data (typically) on the last Tuesday of the month (so 2/23 in this case). They don't post it for a week or more, so by the time you saw the score, the data it used in the algorithm could be (slightly) outdated.
As has been suggested - definitely pull your reports from annualcreditreport.com (currently available weekly) to make sure the data is truly accurate.
Please excuse me for sounding annoyed at this situation, As I have said this was all corrected with Equifax about 6 months ago so plenty of time to allow for updates to happen. I have pulled all 3 credit reports and not a single notation, degrogatory mark, or any late payment. All accounts show paid on time.

@Anonymous I understand what you're saying and it may have been updated and corrected six months ago. But we don't know what's happened since then. And there's probably no way to know.
All we can do is try to find out what's going on right now. That means we need you to pull a current annual credit report credit report and scour it today and see if anything has been added. Because something is funny somewhere. Whether it be your credit report or whether it be something else, there's a problem.
and if we can't find it on your credit report then your next step will be contacting the credit bureaus because if you look at today's annual credit report CR and nothing is there, then you need to speak with a supervisor at EQ and find out what's going on.
How does someone caontact a supervisor at EQ? All I can find on their site is to dispute a specific issue and not something ambiguous like this comment. Who knows if this comment is holding back what could be an even higher score. It has been a long arduous road back to the point I am now and although my score is good, I hate seeing the negative (albeit inaccurate) comment.
I pulled EQ report last night and it is as clean as it gets, not a single derogatory mark or comment.

You just call their main number and ask the rep to put a supervisor on the line.
I think you should pull your 3 reports and 28 scores from myFICO first so you can see if that reason code actually exists for your EQ Bankcard FICO8. If it doesn't, then you know it's an issue with Citi and not Equifax. If it does, then you'll have the most up to date information to address when you speak with EQ. You'll also be able to see if that reason code exists on the other EQ FICO score versions.

Just wanted to point out that that comment/ reason code in and of itself has no bearing whatsoever on scores. The comment is a result of the information on your reports. If you were to apply for a credit card somewhere and they pulled your EQ report, if everything looks good (which you say it does), then there should be nothing to worry about. It may just be a glitch with the credit monitoring software, which isn't anything serious and isn't something you can formally dispute anyway.
@Anonymous thank you for making that point. I think I will just let it be then. My time is not worth the hassle.
