Re: Getting very frustrated!

I just had a collection removed that was due to come off in Jan 07 and my score went up 14 points. So I think some collection still have an impact to the end. It was for $6900.00. I have also had smaller collection $58.00 come off with 4 yrs to go and it had no impact. So I it seems to me the size of the collection might also have something to do with the score.

Re: Getting very frustrated!

Maybe because of the small amount, it didn't affect your score to begin with??  I'm not sure.  I do know that fixing things is just plain frustrating in general.

I finally had luck in disputing a collection on my CR from Apollo for only $52, and it's finally been deleted from 1-EQ-, along with a paid Midland account.  I was so thrilled, thinking that this would of course make my score go up dramatically...but no!  My score has gone down from 660-651 as of today!  Why??  This is truly depressing!  I want to be able to keep all of my scores in the 660 range when I try to get a house next month.Smiley Sad

remember that hx  makes up 35% of your score. When something is deleted it might be from long ago so that your hx might be less. This will effect your scores.

Re: Getting very frustrated!

The collection was from 2002 which was paid 3 months after it was sent to collections (it should have never been sent to collections anyway).  It was only for $52 ($13+collection fees).  Every time I pulled my reports, this was the #1 thing mentioned as having a negative impact on my score.  The Midland collection that was deleted (actually 2 of them were, but 1 wasn't mine), and that one was PIF 3/2005.  I was sure that this would get me somewhere.  Man, I'm totally bummed about it.  I've been working so hard at this.  I knew I would have to, but I would love to see the fruits of my labor.

Yes, haulingthescoreup-

My TU and EX scores since June have increased:  555-648 and 587-635, respectively, and are remaining constant.  My EQ is just going haywire.  Bizarre.Robot surprised

Re: Getting very frustrated!

Ok!

Received notice yesterday that my EQ score went from 651-663.  Not the big jump that I hoped for, but it's better that nothing.  At least I'm in a new score band.Smiley Happy  Another question-I have 2 accts that I could pay off today.  Should I pay them off in full or does trying to keep them between 1-4% really make a difference with my score.  Is it much of a difference?

Re: Getting very frustrated!

As a general rule-
Only have 50% of your revolving accounts report a balance-
