There's a many things one can complain about when it comes to Chase (5/24 being #1 on my list), but I have to concede that I absolutely love Chase's policy of automatically reporting a zero balance whenever an account shows as such. Planning on requesting CLIs for all Navy accounts, yet I wanted to have all payments reported from other CCs to put ourselves in a more auspicious position to ensure DW and I get the full 8K increases. I had already made my Chase PIF late last month when the new statement posted, but then it occurred to me about the Navy CLI request window coming up. I then paid whatever new charges posted and balance from new statement to the CSR, bringing account balance to zero. Just saw on Credit Karma, the account reported zero on the 28th from the payments made on the 28th. Simply wanted to share how this feature of Chase's really does come in handy when playing the credit game ![]()

Chase is super fast, and on ALL 3 CRA as well.
I had Capital One submit a update to all 3 recently .. EQ, EX 2 days later showed up .. TU took 8 days.. but when Chase did it.. its was the next day for all 3.
Are they just reporting TU in some batch format to save $ and Chase spends the extra $ to report on demand? why does Chase updates show up faster on TU vs almost any other card?
Thank you for the reminder. My Chase card closes Monday. I forgot to zero out the statement balance by paying it yesterday. So, Chase will probably report a balance on Tuesday, but then show it zeroed out on Wednesday. Since Chase isn't my AZEO card, it'll be interesting to see whether there's a minor fluctuation in my score.
I gotta say, I love that also. And they are snappy with it too. With all the things that annoy me about them, that and a couple other things cancel them out by a huge margin.
