HELLPPPP!!

I have a medical collection account on service dated back on 12/04.. I just found out that at the beginning of that month I was overseas and didn't come back until the end of the month... I contacted collection and told them that,,, they said if I can provide them with documents they will go a head remove it from the CR.

I just looked at the collection notice and found that the date of the service was on 26/12/04 and the letter that I am about to send CA as supporting doc from the overseas hospital states that I had my surgery on 12/2004 but did not specify the date !!

So, should I use this Medical report and send it to collection??? I am afraid that will  make it worst?? Please HELP me .. they needed by tomorrow.

Re: HELLPPPP!!

no ... the overseas hospital is where I have the documents showing that at the time of service in US HOSPITAL (account placed for collection) I wasn't physically present in the US....

BUT.... my documents from overses only showing the month and year of my surgery.. and the US hospital service account showing the date of service as 12/26/2004..

Honestly, I think I have seen a dcotor after I came back from overseas for a follow up, and I am willing to pay but they will not remove it untill I show that I was not physically present in the US during the date of service

Re: HELLPPPP!!

Have you sent them a DV??  If so they should have sent you  a copy from the HOSP.  showing all charges   and dates...............this must come from the hosp. the CA can not just type it up!

Also have you been in contact with the hosp.?   You do not have to prove anything.....they must prove that it is your debt!

Re: HELLPPPP!!

HappyDays,

I have DV'd them and they sent me detailed description of the service and the service date was on 12/26/04... I  think I have seen a doctor that time right after I returned to the US ... but I am trying to use the letter from overseas that showing I was in Egypt for the whole month of December and luckily they didn't specify the date I was in the Egyptian hospital " they only said " On December of 2004 the above mentioned patient blah blah blah"... so I want to know if I should use this medical report from Egypt and take advantage of the unspecified date and get rid of this collection account?. I don't want to put myself in any kind of troubles but it seems to me that is the only way to convince the CA to delete this account.

Bint are you in the military?  It sounds like it.  If so then, Happy, Bint's mil ID is all they need as servicemen are not required to have passports - just their ID.

At least that was the case when I was in.  I didn't get my passport until after I was out of the AF, so this may be the loophole.  If they ask for it, then Bint can state their ID serves as their passport.
