Re: HELP! Getting INQ's off Experian

I still have my unauth inq from a bank. I asked a mortgage question and the rep pulled my CR after specifically stating no credit check. I never filled out an app. Just wanted to know aprox payment and rate. Ex said no. Almost a year. I tried to gently ask the bank to remove it. They said NO. I didn't push it worried I'd get the rep fired. My experience was TU and EQ will help, EX says no. This was a while ago. Had it happened today, I'd force the bank to remove it legally if needed.

Nobody tries to delete auth inqs. Smiley Wink

No one in their right mind tries to delete legit inqs! Unless you like having extended fraud alerts put on all three of your files, and the disappearance of legit tradelines when the inq was successful.

Unless they magically get shy and go away from being looked at too much. Smiley Happy I don't give my social anymore at all. It seems to be an auto pull with some lenders even when stated no credit pull.

If someone really wanted to PUSH hard, they could always file with the FTC to have it removed I guess. It's not the first time EX refused to except a dispute. You can remove it, just depends on how far you are willing to go.

As far as removing them from EX, if Auth, they will stay. If UnAuth but not fraud you will need to file with a lawyer or FTC. If completely fraud, you can put an FA and dispute as complete fraud on EX. Probably stuck with inqs on EX.
