Hard pull when said it was only a soft pull.

A ford dealer told me that he gonna pull a soft pull of my credit and then based on the score will send it to chase for an approval and that’s gonna he a hard pull. And he pull a hard pull not a soft one can I dispute it ??

I’m not 100% sure but, I think 🤔, if he told you he was doing a SP and he ended up doing a HP...I THINK you could GW(GoodWill) them to remove the HP. But, the good news is, when the HP reaches its 12 month mark it has little or no effect on your scores and those points you lost will/or should be regained. Again, I’m not 100% sure but, I believe that’s how it’ll play out. I’m sure someone will chime in and correct me if I’m wrong.

Sorry they did you that way.

Good luck!

That is not something that is really disputable, as they have the right to the pull and to code as hard.

Coding as soft is thus voluntary.

I would pursue with a bad business practice complaint to your local BBB rather than filing a specific assertion of a legal violation on their part.
