The slide from grace is really more like gliding
And I've found the trick is not to stop the sliding
But to find a graceful way of staying slid

Stay on their good side and they are good to you.....
Get on their bad side and they can be a nightmare for you....

I guess it's like all the other ccc's out there.

I think it's much more legitimate for me to speak of my personal experience rather than extrapolating my personal experience into broad generalizations. Smiley Wink In my personal experience, I have been nothing but "good" to crap1, and crap1 is BY FAR one of the worst companies I deal with. They really are in the small minority of inferior companies I deal with; of the CCCs of whom I am a customer, they really stick out like a sore thumb. If I were to include them in the same category with "all the other cccs" I deal with, I would be dignifying their poor behavior, which I think is a real dis-service to the really wonderful CCCs like Penfed, for example.

I understand and respect your opinion. I, on the other hand, HAD been nothing but bad for them(until I woke up out of my credit coma, a year ago). They kept with me, even though I didn't deserve it. IMO they are one of the best sub-prime ccc's out there, for people like me.

You have obviously moved into a category, I can only dream about, and you fully deserve those ccc's that will treat you in the manner in which you deserve to be treated. You are far beyond the abilities of a sub-prime ccc to service your needs, and my hats off to you. Smiley Happy

Unfortunately, I am not in that catagory, but my goal some day, is to be.

Re: Hey Mods -- Can we start a Cap One thread?

syl- I completely respect your opinion*, I hope I did not offend. My apologies if I did. (*For example, if I see your handle, I am more likely to read the post b/c of it than otherwise -I really do value your opinions.)

I was not thinking cap1 was just a sub-prime card (I did not have "sub-prime"-category scores when I got the cards). Of the posts I've read, your comment "IMO they are one of the best sub-prime ccc's out there" definitely seems to be supported by others' personal experiences. This serves a great role. At any score range, I believe we (the customer) should use our cards, not have our cards use us! Smiley Happy It's definitely possible to do w/cap1. But your comment "..isn't so bad.. good..they are good to you... like all the cccs out there", isn't supported by my personal experience with crap1 as a ccc, which for someone else reading this public forum, they may be interested in it before they apply for a card with them. Smiley Happy

eta: just as an example of a supposed "uber-prime" ccc which resides next to my socks is Discover (altho' all of my experiences with their CSRs has been fantastic, I've been incredibly impressed with their wonderful CSRs). On the other hand, have I mentioned how incredibly impressive to me Penfed is... Smiley Wink Smiley Very Happy
