How accurate is FICO quarterly monitoring?

Hi guys, I just purchased the 1/4 monitoring on myFICO.  I really want to improve my score.  It says that my TU score is 663.

Deliquent accounts, recent closed accounts (i just payed one small delinquent balance), and collections are hurting me.

What is helping me is Paying bills on time recently, and established credit history.  My score a year ago was 545.

I'm wondering how accurate the FICO future feature is.  I'm trying to decide whether or not I should tackle some of these delinquest collections.. or let them be.  Is it true that negative items come off of your report after 7 years?

Welcome to the forums!

The simulator is accurate within a certain range, which is why it doesn't just say your score will be an exact number with a certain action.  Yes, negative items fall off your report in 7-7.5 years, but you can get them off sooner with a little effort.  You should read through the following threads for more info on credit and the forums, before you start working on your reports.

Hey, thanks!  I'll be sure to read these tonight.  It's just so hard for me to get even an auto loan.  I'm hre wondering if I should get rid of all of the collections one by one.... or just leave them be... tuff situation.

thanks
