Hi I've had this problem for a long time and need to get it fixed, everytime I try to verify my identity it ask me questions that has to do with my father. I couldn't even get my equifax report on annualcreditreport because of this problem, couldn't even verify for certain banks and credit cards also because I couldn't verify my identity. My father is a Jr and I'm a III, both of us have used our whole name without putting the suffix at times also, I'm thinking this is why it asks me questions that pertains him. How can I fully fix this problem ?

Seriously, because of this issue, I will strongly consider naming my child "III". I finally got everything situated after a couple of years of back-in-forth with past financial institutions. One being AMEX who swore I had a debt pre-existing my DOB. You "must" make sure when you fill out an application, you add your suffix identifier. If there is no option, add it to the ending of the last name. I also double-check when someone else is filling out the documentation that they added my suffix "Jr." and always state it when verifying myself online. It's a curse we have been burdened with for the rest of our lives!
I still have an issue with Federal Background checks to this day! It's funny because people who don't have to deal with the issue—(Background Investigators, Loan Officers, etc.) without suffix's always said, "You shouldn't have this issue because your SSN is different — Nope, it's still a major issue!
On occasion, I have everything pretty well sorted and STILL get asked about my father's first ex-wife birthday and address . You will need to pull ALL your credit reports and dispute any incorrect names and tradelines showing your Birth Certificates, SSN, and Driver's License. (Make sure the name is correct on those documents)
Here is a shortlist:
Other smaller ones come up randomly, but these should hopefully clear up 89% of the issues!
P.S— I'm surprised you're having issues. Your father is "Jr." and should have ALWAYS been adding his suffix because his father was "Sr.". I have the issue because my father before my DOB was Johnny Appleseed and then became Johnny Appleseed Sr. after I was born. So if anyone forgets to add "Jr.," I will get associated with Johnny Appleseed instead of Johnny Appleseed Jr. regardless of SSN—(which is stupid).

Get a (free) copy of your Lexis Nexis Consumer Report and dispute off all the incorrect stuff.
Once you have completed that, request in writing copies of your EX, TU, EQ, Innovis, ARS, and Sagestream credit reports and check each of them carefully. If there are errors on any of these reports dispute the errors in writing.
I know your pain, I went through the same nonsense with my father and not with just financial information, there were also mixups with insurance coverages and medical records. Probably the funniest was the time I was mistakenly subpoena'd to appear as a witness in court.

Even if you are diligent in ensuring anything even remotely resembling any kind of official usage specifies your full name including suffix people still manage to screw it up. 🥴
Except Chase. They always managed to keep their internal records straight.

Lawyer: Do you recognize that man?
You: No.
What ever happened with the case?
The problem with Chase is that they retain your old info and use it for new accounts even when you gave them your info on the application. This is stupid and careless. I opened a new bank account with them and at some point later, I applied for a credit card. I used my current address for both applications, but they mailed the credit card decline letter to an address that I had on an account with them at least 7 years ago. When I had a business account with them, they'd constantly email things to my personal email address and also the business email address, and even when I closed my official Chase accounts and opened a Starbucks card, which is run by Chase, they sent notifications about the Starbucks account to the email address that I added to my Starbucks account, and also to the email that was tied to my business account. Why not use the info that people give you? /rant

You would think that everything is attached to social, especially with credit cards. I never thought about your father becoming a Sr. Interesting point and even more reason for them to use social. I'm shocked that this is even an issue.

Sometimes your LN consumer file gets their SSN added to your file - so now you have 2 x SSN showing.
Sometimes your LN consumer file gets the SSN from someone with the same alias who is not a relative and who lives in a different state, so now you have 2 x SSN.
It isn't hilarity that ensues when that 2nd SSN gets propogated.
