How do I find out when the credit bureaus are reported to or given my information?

I hope my question makes sense. I really would like to find out when the credit bureaus are reported to or receive the information from the lenders I pay monthly. I will have a couple of bills paid in december, one from a credit union and the other is a revolving credit account. When will this show on my credit as paid and in good standing. Or that I dont have that revolving credit being used.

I know that subscribing to truecredit monitoring shows you the 'reported date' for each TL.  There might be other ways to find out tho...

Usually CCs (except HSBC) report to the CRAs after the statement cuts. I would give that a week or so to update (has been my personal experience anyway). The other thing that you might want to do, crys, is call the CS depts and ask them when they report on your account.

I am still waiting for Best Buy (HSBC) to update my PAID OFF account that shows it usually reporting on the 30th of each month. So far that makes it 10 days late on all 3 bureaus!

They are notoriously late reporters. When they finally do update, it will be on the balance that you had at the end of October.

Re: How do I find out when the credit bureaus are reported to or given my information?

I just called Best Buy. They claimed they sent in the update already and it must be the credit bureaus....hmmm...guess I will see!! They also had my balance at 5 bucks when I paid it off last month, so they reversed it (finance charges). I am curious to see if I can get a cl increase, but they use equifax and that is my worse score (hopefully when they all update it will be at least 680). My experian I think will hit 700 or higher.

Thanks guys! i really appreciate the feedback. It blows my mind that i didnt know all of this before, just a year or two ago. The schools should be teaching this to the high school kids. Teach them about credit, insurance, loans, credit cards, and all that good stuff that we learn the hard way. Well I did. Smiley Happy

Definitely subscribe to TrueCredit. It will list the exact day your creditors report to the bureaus. You can cancel your subscription at anytime, however it lets you see the info for all three bureaus including inquiries. Only EQ doesnt show an actual date, but it does show the month and year so you will know if your information has been updated. In addition, TC also provides an alert when any new accounts you may have opened are reported as well.
