I have 750-774 credit scores, never have had one bill from them with a balance because each time the card is used I pay it as soon as the balance appears on the capital one app, been almost a 2 year client of capital one starting with a measly 500.00 credit limit with last year got increased to 600.00 so just for giggles I did the offer they sent me about being prequalified for an auto loan and they want to offer me 61000 dollars but will only increase my credit limit from 600.00 dollars to 700.00?
They trust me with all loan of over 60,000 but won't give me a credit limit last 700.00? **bleep** are wrong with those people? Anyone have any insight into this? I get offers from other companies cards all the time for up to 10k limits. What is wrong with this picture?
Sounds crazy right? See attached links to pics for proof. Any insight on this?

low limit cap1 cards don't grow fast or much at all, if you want a better credit card from them, try the pre-approval tool and apply, if you are pre-approved for a card that offers a bonus, there's a good chance that card will grow, even if it starts at a low limit
if you're only offered "for good credit" cards, there is a good chance those cards will have lower limits and grow very slowly, if not at all

the card is bucketed, you will never grow a big line with it. you will have to app for a new card, one of the excellent credit required cards. its the way they work. i would not give up 3 inquiries for a new card but go elsewhere.
Even if I originally started with their basic platinum, and did a product change to the savor? They also keep offering me a new quicksilver which with the way they are treating me not only do I decline the offer but I am close to closing the savor as well. They would be losing a 250k yearly client. What's weird is their auto department seems to understand my value to them and offer me 60k for a loan but their card department won't let me go beyond 700.00 you would think these people talk to each other or something. It's ok, if they keep this bs up I'll close the accounts as trust me they need me more than I need them.
As mentioned the card is "bucketed ", it's not going to grow very high . Car loans very different criteria.
Never take it personal it's a business to them . You might think your business matters, unfortunately it doesn't to them

It's just a bucketed card. Extremely common. Don't take it personally. Same thing happens to many others and there's countless posts on these boards about it.
You either need to app for a new Cap one card or just move on to other issuers. It's just a question of how you value the Cap One ecosystem.

that seems like a bit of a stretch?
Remember the decisions are made by computers and algorithms. Most times the algorithms are pretty good, and sometimes they are not. Your credit profile may have been different 2 years ago. Maybe the underwriting department for auto loans is a little more forgiving. But you always have the option have going elsewhere.

True, it's just that if I wasn't a responsible client, then I'm sure I wouldn't get a 60k loan off the bat. That is a night and day difference from my card limit of 600 dollars. How is it one company can treat me like a scumbag in the credit department but yet treat me based on ny actual scores in their auto department. Either I'm credit worth or not it doesn't go both ways. But that's exactly what they are doing here with their pos 600.00 limit in a savor card mind you and then 60k auto loan. If I could pay back a 60k auto loan in 1 years time then how don't I qualify for like even 10k for credit. Makes zero sense.
As others have said, you are taking it too personally, and not understanding how Cap1 cards work.
Their are 3 or 4 versions of some of their cards.
If you started off in the lower tier of their Quicksilver, Savor, etc., it will never ever grow to have a high limit, regardless of who you are, how much money you make, how much business you do with them, or for how long.
If you want a higher limit card with them, that will grow over time, you need to get the "For excellent credit" version of one of their cards.
