OP, we split your question into a new topic. If INQs were unauthorized or otherwise occured fraudulently, disputing would be an option. Otherwise, you may want to try asking the lender/credit who pulled for GW removal.
You need to give us more details on the inquiries. If they're valid you don't have a basis for dispute and if you don't want valid inquiries then the way to avoid them is to not apply. If they are not valid you certainly have methods of recourse but they may not be worth the effort -- again, depending on the details.

The only credit repair discussions allowed in FICO Forums are ones that exchange information on how to correct or remove real errors from your credit report – not accurate information that you want to get rid of because it may be negatively affecting your credit score.

That's all that we ask.
Removal of inquiries? Is this something we could possibly do? Our story - we were just out looking for a vehicle. We were working on our credit and weren't just ready to try it and wouldn't you know it we walk onto this lot and they had the exact car we were looking for. We didn't know we were looking for it until we saw it.
So the sales people were pushy and I pushed back, I told them I'd give them a deposit on the vehicle but I didn't want them pulling my credit for a week and a half - I wanted my scores to update as we'd made some significant payments. They said that was fine. I then asked them how they looked for lenders and that I didn't want my credit to be farmed out to 16 different lenders trying to get a loan. I was told they only worked with 3 lenders closely. So we left the deposit and went on our way. You can surely guess what happened next? They not only pulled our credit the minute we walked out the door but farmed it out to 8 different lending companies - some I've never even heard of.
I have purchased vehicles before and I have had the dealer call one, maybe two lenders to close a deal - I don't know what these people did. It was like they spammed our credit out there just to see if they could get someone to jump on it? Is this a common practice now? I was livid! A couple days later when these inquiries started hitting our credit we were just beside ourselves. I called the Dealer immediately and demanded an immediate refund and told them what they could do with their car. I was in no way going to deal with someone I couldn't trust!
So basically all those inquiries were not authorized by us - so is this something you'd consider would be feasible to try to have removed? A legit reason as we didn't give them the permission to pull our credit?
Thanks~
