Credit experts I need your help I am new to the credit world
and I want to boost my score fast. I was recently approved for Chase Freedom with 3,500 CL, Citi DP with 2,000 CL no interest for 15 & 12 mos. and I want to take advantage of the 0% APR for booth cards. I am an AU user for my Husband's Cap.One. We carry a balance of 300 in cap one which I just PIF today using my Citi DP card that way I won't have to pay the interest for cap one. So now I have a balance on my Chase worth 850 and Citi for 350 my 1st payment for both cards wont be due till next month, but as I said want to take adv. for the 0%APR so I dont intend to pay in full for now, so my my question is, what can I do to boost my score even when carrying balances? Thank you all..
Lisa
If you're going to carry a balance on any card, paying over the minimum payment is a good way to keep your credit score moving upward. Nothing wrong with keeping a balance on those 0% cards. Heck, it's free money really. But make sure you keep them in good standing and keep paying them down. Your credit score should continue to get better, providing the rest of your finances are on the up and up as well.
Thanks! yeah its fre money so yeah but thanks for leting me know about paying more than the minimum amount.
