Is Transunion less used?

I opened 7 accounts in the last 18 months, the last one a Chase Reserved Sapphire. Got approved 3 days ago. And this hard pull got to Experian - like all of my inquiries.

All inquiries went to Experian, which has all 7 inquiries. But they will fade in time as I do not need more accounts now as I want to garden it.

Equifax got one from HSBC, and got one for leasing the apartment. Transunion none. Not one.

Also, on Transunion only 4 of my accounts are reported, but all 7 at Equifax and Experian.

Or do I just have a bad sample?

Is Transunion "the small" agency"?

Re: Is Transunion less used?

Depends on your state. Quite a few of my lenders actually use Transunion or Equifax while very few use Experian here. I’m in CO.

NFCU, SSFCU, Citi, Commerce Bank, Barclays, and Synchrony all pulled TU for me here.

I now have 5 on TU, 2 on EQ, and 0 on Experian.

Re: Is Transunion less used?

Synchrony is known to pull TU, 5/3 bank does and a lot of small credit unions.

Re: Is Transunion less used?

I kind of noticed that myself. Experian is the most reported and accurate bureau of my reports. Anytime something changes they are the first to report it. Transunion also has the least inquires for me too.
Current 2023 FICO 8 score - 760 (EX) 758 (TU) 762 (EQ) (FICO 9s seem to be significantly higher)
Starting score - 530
Discover it - $4,200
Citi Custom Cash - $6,600
CFNA Firestone - $3,200
Amex BCE - $2,500
Mission Lane - $1,100
Chase slate (AU) - $3,000
Chase Freedom Flex - $11,100
Lowes Advantage card - $10,000
PNC poop points- $4,500
2 student loans 93% paid off
AMEX loan only 7% paid off so far
Total current Utilization among all accounts- 20%

All about Geo Location.. For some TU is pulled alot while others arent.  Just like EQ is pulled for majority of stuff I apply for and Experian  has very few HPs along with TU.. Also certain lenders aka Sync and Barclay's and pretty much exclusively TU pullers so depends on what type of cards you apply for being with a few lenders that either use TU or not known to you TU.

HSBC apparently has some feud with TU and never reports to them, any HSBC credit account is a hidden tradeline on TU. But other than HSBC all my accounts report equally to all 3 CRAs.

Here in AZ almost everyone pulls EX, I have 8 inquiries in EX, 4 on EQ, and 2 on TU, and the 2 TU inquiries fall off this fall, both from triple pulls - Cap One & a car dealer.
