Hey all, It's Hearts....   I have a new login which will show up as Presley06... Still Eve.

Got approved for $1300 just a few minutes ago.  I was surprised though... I guess all that paid off debt made a difference, huh?

If you aren't necessarily looking for a store card...  there are some great places that offer nice financing.  My favorite is diamond.com, I think they have the best choices for customizing exactly what you want it all price ranges.  Second is ice.com, which doesn't have quite as many choices but is still very nice.  Last would be bluenile.com which has financing thru BoA which you apply for before you make a purchase.  I believe that all 3 stores are somehow related.

diamond.com has stellar customer service in every aspect.  If you have unique financing requests they will try to make it happen.

Hi, Eve! Does this mean you're an Elvis fan? Smiley Very Happy Congrats on the approval and the pay-down.

Re: KAY

FYI. The markup on jewelry at chain stores very large.  Would suggest BlueNile.com or similar online jeweler.  Buy only a GIA certified diamond.  Best way to insure you are getting what you paid for.  BlueNile offers financing through BofA.  Helping your credit with a measly 2K credit line isn't worth it if you are losing money on your purchase.  Jewelry is an investment

Re: KAY

Dh paid $6k for my center stone about 8 years ago (2nd ring) through a jeweler friend, and while I truly appreciate it, I would have been UPSET if he had purchased on a payment plan.

Have you thought about purchasing a ring that's three stones....past present future?  If you purchase 3 1/3 carat stones, it's way less than a one carat stone.

Also, check out pawn shops...you can get a wonderful deal there.  Make sure you take anything to a reputable jeweler afterwards.

Wells Fargo also finances a lot of jewelry and they're pretty 'friendly' with the CR.   I believe you can still apply online for a line of 'credit'.  You can then use that credit line (with their checks) as you would cash.
