Lag time for My FICO to update scores...why??

So I'm noticing My FICO is not updated to the most recent scores. Last week I had Experian increase 18 pts (woot! woot!) but the update is not showing YET in My FICO. Any idea how long My FICO takes to update and/or what's the driver for the update - the credit beaurea or My FICO syncing with all 3 beaureaus?

Re: Lag time for My FICO to update scores...why??

It’s slow, slow, slow to update. There is a good chance is won’t update until your next monthly manual refresh.

It’s been discussed here many times, but the powers that be simply ignore the problem, offer excuses, and never addess it head on.

It’s a terrible paid service if you’re just looking for timely score/report updates.

Re: Lag time for My FICO to update scores...why??

MF will only update your score when you receive an "alert" or once every month or however often your membership says that it will update.

If you have another score source (creditscore.com, creditscorecard.com, etc) that does a report/score pull before that happens, you'll be seeing a report/score that's more recent and could be different than what MF is showing you from your last pull.

Yes it takes forever. The new score along with the alert comes from the CRAs. The CRAs have financial incentive to provide it to other places first. For that to maintain its value, MF must remain delayed.

There are different triggers for different products you can find what triggers an update here and under #4

Re: Lag time for My FICO to update scores...why??

It does not usually matter to me, it can go months at a time without any change in the scores when they do update. Sometimes it can be the same score for six months. I suppose I could make a 90 day late payment to get some big movement again, but I guess I will just live with it as is.
