Lates on TU- Affects how long

I pulled TU CR and it shows serious lates - 4 -90 days in a row on a student loan I failed to get a forebearence on- Jan- April 2004- How much will this continue to be a significant drag on my credit file- I only have one cc with good utilization and a student loan that consolidated the previous one - paid on time since Dec 06   Student loans only show late on TU-

As baddies age they get less and less weighted.  I had a 60 day late removed from an account that occurred 8 months ago, and it shot my EQ score up over 120 points (still waiting on the other 2 CRA's to update).

On the reverse side, I had a collection removed that was 6.5 years old, and it moved my score exactly 0 points.

From my understanding, 2 years is when the weighting really drops off.
