Lending Club-Positive experience

Just received my approval today, says funds will be deposited in my account. Did not give a date. Until I see those funds I am holding my enthusiasm!!  I understand Lending Club may not be for everyone but I couldn't get this loan thru any bank or CU.  When I pay off my bills I will feel like a weight has been lifted off of me.  Reasonable interest rate too at 12% apr. I went with 5 yrs so I could have had 9% APR if I went for 3 yrs.  In a few yrs I might refi this thru a CU for a better interest rate but do 3 yrs so I would be keeping on track with the loan length.

Here is my experience.

May 9 got my rate and applied (Saturday)
Verified email and added bank account

was 100% funded almost immediately

May 11th received small deposit to verify bank account

May 13th did phone and work verification, checked account and got all green checks that it was done and funds would be deposited.

Was not asked for any additional documents. Prob the smoothest process I have ever experienced. Like I said though waiting to actually see the money in my account!

For reference I got approved for a 21,000 loan with high 600 scores. I have a good history and length of credit with past installment loans, mortgage, no late payments etc. Could be why it was so easy.

Just wanted people to know know it actually does work and can be that easy. I read so many negative reviews I was beginning to question if I did the right thing.  Still holding my breath but for now a great experience and honestly the people were extremely nice. I heard so many reviews on no call backs or nasty CSR. That was not my personal experience.

Hope this helps, and would be happy to answer anyone's questions if they have them.

J

Re: Lending Club-Positive experience

I am glad you had a good experience.. I play on Prosper and they are super fast also.  Congrats on your approval and once Web Bank does their part, you will have your money before Friday.

Same positive experience here.  They give you a week's warning that they are about to debit your payment, so there is no "oops!"  I appreciate that.

Ohh, good to know! I never really like direct withdrawal, I like to be in control of my money. I guess I will have to get use to it!!

Thank you!!  All and all my experience couldn't have been better. If  you are considering it, I would atleast try. I would have done things differently if I would have known about lending Club years ago. I read a lot of postive reviews but then saw some negative which made me nervous. Of coure I didn't read those reviews till after I applied. The people there were very polite, which I read some say they never answered the phone or were rude. That wasn't my experience at all.  I did have to call and move my due date up because it was scheduled in the middle of the month and that's not a good time.  It took about 2 seconds and it was done.  The only issue with that is your payment goes up that first month you move it because, they have to add interest onto the payment.

Good luck to you, hopefully you can get hings consolidated. It was the best feeling loggin in and paying everything off.  If you have questions let me know!! Smiley Happy
