Some shocking tricks of profiling and profiting. Providian supposedly holds checks after received for payment so that they can charge a late fee. Credit card companys targeting consumers who have filed for bankruptcy because they already know that these consumers 1) cannot file bankruptcy again for many years 2) have a history of consumer debt 3) will make only minimum payments which translates into big profits for the cc co.
I encourage everyone on this board to watch this dvd....eye opening and most of us can relate to the way consumers are getting raped by these financial institutions. One statistics shared was that cc fees have jumped 160% in five years..........yes i did say 160%!

I watched Maxed Out last night. It actually bummed us out because of a couple of stories of people who committed suicide because of their debt problem. Suicide is NOT the answer for ANY problem.
Netflix instant watching allows one hour of online viewing for every dollar of your monthly payment. For example, I have have the one-out-at-a-time plan for $9.99, so I get 10 hours of online viewing.
Now I need to try to get my computer hooked up to my TV.
