Macys

Good evening,

I just had a quick question,  is there any way I can dispute late payments?
120 days late 10/02
90 days late 9/02
60 days late 8/02 and 5/02
30 days late 7/02 4/02 and 3/02

Would I write to Macys directly or to the 3 agencies?

Thanks alot

Try a GW letter to Macys.

This will need to be one heck of a GW letter.
Late on half of your payments is gonna be tough.
Have be current after 02? Do you still have the account in good standing?

How is your current credit?

One method may be to talk to then about opening another account and having them delete this one.

Re: Macys

My credit score has been improving.  Experian is at 692, Transunion at 731 and Equifax is at 702.
I am almost positve that the last two scores went up because the first one went up 20 points today.

Re: Macys

Your scores are in good shape so you have obviously been doing what you should be for the last 5 years.

I would give them a inspired GW letter and tell them you are considering re-applying as you still shop there all the time etc. but miss your Red Star rewards.

Re: Macys

I just got a GW on a 2 30's and a 60 day late with Macys over the phone. They were really nice about it too. My account is still open and I use it often though so that might have helped.

Re: Macys

I had 2 - 30 day lates removed by just calling them.    They were pretty quick to agree to remove it - now I'm just waiting on the bureaus to update.

Re: Macys

I had a very recent 30, 60, and 90 removed and account re-opened after being closed by Macys. I used a GW letter. I've heard others on this board say good things about Macys removing baddies.
