Making good from a mistake.

I noticee that EQ incorrectly reports my Fingerhut account as being good on payments since Dec of 2011.

I wonder if it would do any good to contact the other two CB's and make them report what EQ has, or would it be a waste?

Re: Making good from a mistake.

I have used this service before. It is provided by triligent, who also provides such services under different names. Their services are sometimes pretty buggy, but not as bad as creditkarma. It's best to just double check your EQ report, to make sure it isn't a bug on triligent's end.

If you notify the CRA(s), they probably will verify the info with Fingerhut, rather than with one another, and they'll eventually update whatever info fingerhut provided them with.

Actually when clicking on a link it says "partner.experian.com".

So I wonder if experian is providing the info now?

Re: Making good from a mistake.

The report shows that the account was not opened until 10/2013.

Thus, it should have no reported history prior to that date.

It appears to me that when they keyed in their reporting for EQ, they may have incorrectly entered the incorrect date for the start of the payment history profile.

One CRA will not update their reporting based on consistency with another CRA, particularly in this case where the reporting you would be asking to update is clearly inaccurate.

I would suggest contacting the OC and asking them to correct their reporting.  They are the apparent source of the inconsistency, not the CRA.
