Mobile Wallet Usage

Today I walked into a 7-11 and had to wait in line as an older gentleman argued with the store clerk about leaving their credit card at the store. The clerk asked what type and the guy said "chase" and "silver". I don't know if he was talking about Chase Ink or a co-branded he was referring to as chase (probably not).

But this all could have been avoided if he had used mobile wallet for his purchase which makes more sense than ever in a pandemic.

What some people don't realize is it doesn't have to be a choice between using your phone or bringing your wallet. There is this invention called the phone wallet where you have a phone but keep a few cards on hand that you need in case to pay with plastic like at the pump.

Personally I think it looks more serious to be up there at a phone register with a phone-wallet than just a phone itself. With just the phone itself it gives the impression its a new fangled app they're trying out over a wallet purchase.

Re: Mobile Wallet Usage

I agree with this. I'm like 85% mobile wallet user. It's so effortless and considering I lose everything/ don't like carrying a wallet it is a life saver. Also use to love the special promos you would get for making mobile payments. I really racked up some nice rewards lol.

Re: Mobile Wallet Usage

Definitely sold on using mobile wallet for club memberships. However I feel like it can slow the checkout line down with having to reenter your pasword for payment.

So long as I can get away with holding up a line I think I'll do it.

Re: Mobile Wallet Usage

I love you mobile wallet. No password, use fingerprint.

I carry a slim wallet with essential things, and a couple cards, just incase they don't accept contactless.
