My Bankruptcy Fell Off My Credit Report Today

Today after ten years of rebuilding my chapter 7 fell off my Equifax and my score jumped 66 points to 807. I want to thank everyone in the community for the help and advice during my ten year rebuilding journey. I've learned so much about building credit and proper usage from everyone's advice and experience. Now I just have to wait on the other two while I enjoy.

Congrats! Must be a terrific feeling, but doesn't 10 years feel like an eternity? Did you try for any early exclusion or just wait for it to happen?

My 2010 BK should fall off June or July next year, i've read that TU will remove a BK up to 6 months early and EQ & EX a few months early, so I'll start trying next spring.

I let it fall naturally. It's actually two months early. Yes that ten years feels like forever

Congrats to you. I know it's a long wait. I've got 3-5 months until my BK7 falls off all 3.

It's extremely satisfying to see that huge jump after all that work over such a long period of time. My advice to those starting their journey is read what you can about the process. Pay your bills on time and use auto pay where you can and don't accrue new CC debt if you don't have to. And always remember it's a marathon not a sprint.

Congratulations on showing a huge amount of discipline and self-control - long time to do it but it paid off for sure. Enjoy the feeling!
