I did some tracking on the new product (see below image). I have paid subcriptions on the 3 major reporting agencies (which all end this month).
My findings are as follows:
MyFico reports pretty much the same time as Equifax and Experian alerts, but provides better alerts on balance utlization and balances.
MyFico provides pretty much the same as TransUnion and CapitalOne Tracker, but none of the alerts report much other than inquiries or score changes.
MyFico provides real FICO scores - EX, EQ, and TU do not. Some of my cards do (Walmart, Cap One, Barclays and Discover) but the scores are not always current or are from prior snapshots in time.
I also use Credit Karma (yes, I am a credit junkie while doing credit repair) but I did not list it because it lags behind in reporting and only handles some TU changes).
Bottom line......in my opinion - myFICO 3 Credit Bureau Monitoring is a definite keeper.
I will be cancelling my EX, EQ and TU accounts this month. However, I will probably add Amex Credit Secure ($19.99/mo) for monitoring daily stuff across all 3 credit reports that is not showing up on myFico. Once I finish with credit repair, I will probably drop Credit Secure, but keep MyFico.
In conclusion I think the MyFico is a good product. I think they need to expand or work some kinks in TU reporting component, but overall it is great
SusieQ,
I am pleased that you believe that the 3-Bureau product is working in your case. I am certain that in my case, it is not. Many others are reporting the same.
I signed up on 8/22, after being with the SW product since 2008. All I have experienced is a significant step backwards, at literally twice the price. I have tried very hard to be patient through this, however that is becoming increasingly difficult. To date, I have had an EQ update through the 3-Bureau product, but absolutely nothing through Exp and TU, despite significant report changes to both reports. I am 100% certain, that in my case, the Exp and TU products are not working.
Probably the most frustrating is the extreme lack of customer service. Every method I have used to try to resolve the issue has fallen on deaf ears - either completely ignored or told that everything is working great and that there have been NO other reports of issues or concerns. Not sure how they can say that with a straight face.
TU not working. Exp not working. Mobile app not working. Customer Service not responding. Paying twice the price. I must really be an idiot!
Not an attorney but interested in talking to others to see if we can get an attorney to get our accounts to work as promised. I think they'd actually lsiten to an attorney. Or maybe we can go to some governing board to report them? Ideas, anyone?
I joined within the last 2 weeks and have had three alerts this past week, which consisted of: 2 inquiries, 1 each for EX and EQ, a balance change and 2 credit score increases for EQ.
My inquiries from this past Sunday took 3 days to show up. I will really be able to tell if the monitoring works by the end of the month since I finally paid off one of my balances and my credit card updates to the bureaus around the 26th.
Finally an alert today from Equifax. I disputed an item on my Equifax report last night and its showing up today.
I've had the three monitoring for a week now and experian and tu updated about 4 days apart and for different reasons. Equifax has yet to report. So far I'm satisfied with it and hope that it gets better for those of you who aren't getting timely results
