My SageStream Credit Optics score is awful, hows yours?

So I ordered my SageStream score last month and it finally got here on Tuesday. Normally I like seeing the number 303 (original Denver area code) but not so much here.

Needless to say, I ordered my full report. That will probably be here late next month.

I am curious what they mean by "when the consumer's SSN was issued" because it was issued when I was born in 84.

I already knew that this score doesn't like phone number changes so that doesn't surprise me - I have had multiple cell numbers over the years because it was easier to just get a new number than try to port out. My Google Voice has always been the number I gave everyone so it never mattered what my cell number was. Last time it was changed was 9/2017.

Has anyone else recently ordered this score? It is crazy how low this score is...

I only pulled it because I want to pretty myself up for US Bank by October and they're a well-known SS puller (Disco and Apple Card use it too). That score is lower than I thought it would be so now I have to investigate further. Two US Bank denials, I want to make sure I get it this time.

I put on ice and opted out before Cash+ and Gold checking.

Apparently that was not a very good year for credit-worthiness. Smiley Wink Thanks for the DP! Smiley LOL

Yeah I thought about doing that but I have read mixed DPs about it being successful or being the reason for declines. I don't have anything to hide so I don't really care as long as the info is accurate. It's not like I've been bad with the credit seeking lately. One account since October last year and not so much as an inquiry besides that new account. If 0/6, 1/12, and a Gold Checking isn't enough, meh.

I mean many people my age had to file for BK because of the Great Recession and never fully recovered so it's certainly possible.

Okay using the date that the SSN was issued seems to be seriously problematic when it comes to discrimination.  For those of us born outside of the US, we didn't get an SSN issued at birth.  And if they have the DOB to compare with, that can easily allow them to segment non-native-born people.

The more I learn about these other credit reporting agencies the less I like.

I didn't get a score with mine when I ordered my SS reports, but it seemed to be quite similar to the big 3.  When I got LN, though, I had 40 pages of caution about an address I had when I was 16 possibly being a mailstop location.  That's correct since it was a Mailboxes, Etc., but just strange that several decades later an address I only used briefly when I was 16 is like half of the report.

I also ordered my SS score and received my packet earlier this week... 318! Definitely not what I expected, but oh well!

What's in my wallet:

Yep I had the same thought about discrimination based on the date and I don't know how these companies get away with blatantly discriminating against people. The fact that it's number 3 out of 5 reason codes means it's having a significant scoring impact, costing me more than my inquiries are, and it just seems totally ridiculous to me that they actually put age discrimination right into their score.

I definitely don't like any of them but as long as their information is accurate, I don't fuss too much. This is the first time I've seen something infer that my age is costing me points for something though outside of insurance factors where being a male under 30 used to really hit me in the wallet and I'm not really happy about that.
