Mysterious fico score huge bump

Hi,

From discover free fico - I had 768 on 8/11/14 which got bumped to 797 a month later.

The only major change in my credit report is the new CITI double cash account.

My total utilitization ratio remains around 3%, and my AAoA dropped a little. The huge bump from 768 to 797 seems rather mysterious to me - if anyone got an idea about why this is happenning, please share it here!

Thanks

You could've been rebucketed. I had a drop that big with no obvious explanation like two months ago.

It could be rebucketing or it could be that you're not accounting for everything.  Changes aren't just items added or removed from your reports but aging as well.

The new available credit on the Double Cash had absolutely no impact on your utilization?  Has that account actually reported?

You really have to carefully compare reports before and after the score change if you want to try to determine the cause.  We can't tell you since we don't know the details of your reports.
