NO FICO SCORE!!!!!????

I moved here from the UK in June 08 and was immediately added as an authorised user to my husband's credit card.  Since then I have gained 2 storecards and one guaranteed credit card of my own.

On experian (last check) I was listed as 730, my FICO report just came back as "no score as of May 2009"

Is there any way to contact someone to correct this or generate a fico score?  Help!

Re: NO FICO SCORE!!!!!????

Wow, that's a new one on me. FICO should still be reporting it. You'll need to call CS on that one:

Phone:

Sat 7am to 4pm PST

And boy, do I miss Calvin and Hobbes! I taught my son to read using C&H collections for primers. He's pretty warped now, I'm afraid. Smiley Very Happy

I decided to borrow Mrs. Wormwood for my avatar for a while after being called bossy one too many times! Smiley Wink

Re: NO FICO SCORE!!!!!????

Did you try pulling EQ or TU FICO score?

Have you pulled your free annual reports or a report directly from each CRA to see what is/isn't being reported?

Re: NO FICO SCORE!!!!!????

I only have the Experian one because that was free... TU are the ones who came back with a "no score" result.

Should I contact them to amend? Do I have to pay to do that?

Sorry to be such a dimwit.... and posting in the wrong place!

Re: NO FICO SCORE!!!!!????

Unfortunately, the scores you get from annualcreditreport.com are what we call FAKO's. You can't buy an EX FICO as of 2/13/2009, per their decision.

Most lenders use FICO scores, and you can still get your EQ and TU FICO. But they specifically have to say "FICO", not just "credit score."

Some people like to track their FAKO scores, but these often do not track FICO scores, so they're a pretty shaky indicator of what your lenders are looking at.

Requesting your own reports won't affect your scores. These are what are knows as "soft inquiries."

Anyway, to generate a FICO score, you must have had an account that was opened at least 6 months ago and has reported within the last six months. (And you can't be dead.) So you should have scores. I don't know where you pulled your Experian score, but if you pulled it after February 13, it wasn't a FICO.

Sorry, I know how confusing that is. Smiley Sad

In the meantime, if you haven't already, please read Understanding Your FICO ® Score and Credit Scoring 101 (at least the first post.)

These will give you the background knowledge you need to understand what you read here on the forums.

Re: NO FICO SCORE!!!!!????

Thank you Smiley Happy  .... I used "freecreditreport.com" for my experian (still cant get the jingle out of my head lol)

You've been really helpful and I've been looking around the site which has also helped greatly - apparently authorised users on accounts were not considered by FICO until recently so that explains a lot....

I'll do some research, because no, I'm not dead Smiley Wink  Although one of my favourite quotes is "live fast, die young, make a good looking corpse" Smiley Very Happy

Thanks again - you've given me hope at least! Smiley Happy

FICO always considered AU accounts.

They were going to stop with the new scoring formula they are developing/have developed.

However, recently it was announced that they would NOT stop and would continue to count AU accounts in scoring.

Re: NO FICO SCORE!!!!!????

What exactly does it say? I'm a little confused here.

If the lender reported an account, whether AU or not, FICO would have used it in scoring. Possibly the lender didn't report it initially? or the lender stuck that date on there?

I'm AU on my husband's Discover card, and it says that I've had it for 19 years, instead of for 18 months.

Re: NO FICO SCORE!!!!!????

On the letter from FICO themselves received yesterday,  it says "no record as of May 9th 2009"

On experian on that "fako" report that I have been checking for about 3 months now, it has shown ME (like yours) as having revolving credit since 2007 when he started the card alone.

Ive also had store cards in my own name since April (which showed as "good" on experian), and a credit card since this month (so I understand why THAT wouldnt show).

The funniest part is that im being refused the most by Chase.... who are taking over WaMu who I have had the darn card with for a year!!!!

<grumble grumble>

excellent pic btw.... I LOVE calvin and hobbes Smiley Happy
