Just wanted to update everyone and thank you all for the help. So apparently this is already fixed immediately. They are sending me an updated report in the mail and said it could take a few days to update with other services and online. Really weird and after I verified all accounts it took about 10mins.
I made sure and verified with him all 12 accounts, balances etc. Along with closed accounts and made sure nothing negative at all. Didnt know if they merged with someone else's.
I asked what happened and why as this is concerning, he just said this is more common than u think and said maybe I went by my name vs my full name. Then we verified they had both already. Hahah
I think the file got split or merged with someone else and he didnt want to tell me it was a mistake on Equifax. I dunno.
It was a simple fix apparently. I will be on the lookout as a little concerning.
Thank you all very much for the quick response, help, and advice.
Im glad they got it all fixed! That's a scary scenario, especially if you are about to close on something and it could possibly create an issue.
Yes I have a closing date of next week on Friday. Still a little nervous, but should be ok if they pull again before closing.
Thanks,
Chris
I'm glad you got this resolved.
Same here!! Feel 95% relieved, that extra 5% will come when I see it online in my credit monitoring services lol

You really dodged a bullet this time. When you said what happened my thought was not to worry that's definitely a glitch or something but I have seen and heard horror stories of Equifax turning the simplest matters into trips to hell.
I personally had an enraging moment with them about a collection dispute I had. The collection was taken off the other 2 bureaus months ago and I had disputed it with Equifax.... 30 days later they said verified and left it on the report. I redisputed the same day and sent in new documentation they put it in a pending mode and 40 something days later it was still showing pending.
I was waiting for day 45 to see if it would be resolved but decided I'll give them a call for the hell of it.
The agent was no help saying it was resolved days ago and it's staying on the report I then asked for a supervisor she said yep it's verified it stays on...verified days ago.
I was like My documentation doesn't matter?
She was like The creditor verified it!
I was like They keep telling lies!
She was like It stays!
She was like You can get in contact with the creditor!
I was like No! All they gonna do is lie..You have my documentation!
She was like You sure you don't want to contact the creditor?
I was like No! You all might do something Twilight Zonish and it ends up staying on even longer!
It went on like this until I got fed up and hung up and decided the hell with it, its going to fall off in 6 months anyway.
2 days later got notified Collection was removed from report.
And get this...dispute still showing in pending status in Myequifax as of today nearly 2 months later.
