New CC - Impact to Score?

I recently app'd and was approved for a new CC.  Prior to that, my current UTL was approx 41%.  I had 10K of available credit with slightly under 4.1K of debt.  One of the negatives that the TU and EQ mentioned about my score was that I made "heavy usage" of my available credit.  I also have opened 2 accounts already in the last 12 months (both of them have birthdays in Aug).  My questions are:

Will this new card hurt or help my score?

Cons:

1.  hard inquiry

2.  another new account

3.  AAoA of my accounts will go down further ( currently 5 years)

Pros:

1.  Low UTL (CC has 20K limit driving total UTL to 16%)

Re: New CC - Impact to Score?

Depends on how well the factors cancel one another out.

The killer might be your AAoA. If it actually goes below 5 years, to 4 years 11 months, for instance, this will probably hurt until you reach 5 years again.

Certainly, the lowered util ought to negate some of the other effects.

Re: New CC - Impact to Score?

The inquiry finally hit my EQ and scorewatch reported a 7 point loss.  I'll update as I get more info.
