So just to update, synchrony has done a couple off cycle updates for me without a problem.

I know this is an old thread, but what # did you call or did you make the request via chat?

Re: Off Cycle Update/Mid Cycle Update to Credit Report

If I recall correctly, I think I did it via chat on the website.

How were you able to get Amex to update off-cycle? I’m going through some refinancing and my statement just posted, but can’t wait 30-45 days for the next update. Any advice would be greatly appreciated :-)

You have to call and talk to the credit bureau team. They will tell you they don’t normally do this, but they will do it for you, as long as you don’t make a habit out of it.

Called Citi's executive office, and was told they no longer do off- cycle reporting.

That’s always the first line answer from everyone: we don’t do it or we stop doing it because they don’t wanna do it.

I’m not saying they definitely will, but you do have to really sell it to certain lenders and Citibank was one of the hardest that I ever had done and when I did it took them way longer than they were supposed to, but YMMV.
