Oh wow, this JERK collector called the wrong number, left me a crude message!

Talk about bad etiquette or total lack of common sense...

I had a voice message left on my cell phone today from a company called "ADC"... the caller used a loud, hard-hitting voice to say "THIS IS ADC AND YOU OR YOUR ATTORNEY NEED TO CALL US BACK WITHIN 24 HOURS AT 800-275-7176 EXTENSION 602"... and then the coward simply hung up.

First off, I don't owe anybody anything that's past due, so I knew they reached the wrong number.

Second, when I called this "company" to find out who they were, the idiot that answered the phone simply said "wrong number, no big deal... that's how we talk to everyone who is in collections we'll take your number out of the system"...

I looked up their information on the web... turns out they are "Allied Data Corporation" and according to Google, they've got a long rap sheet of complaints from customers everywhere about their heavy-handed harrassment.

Just be careful, folks, in dealing with low-life bottom feeders like these. True scum, no doubt.

These days, "common sense" is almost an oxymoron.

The sum of intelligence on the planet leveled off back in the Seventies. The population kept right on growing. You do the math...

I think that when dealing with people who doesn't pay their bills.......leaves an imression on you. No wonder the CA has to resort to street tactics when collecting debt. I can understand why they talk like that to everyone on the phone.

I'm with Brammy on this one.   Leaving an ominous messages on a person's machine like this is a possible violation of the FDCPA.

They're not supposed to do this because of the possibility of getting the wrong number or the wrong person! *rolleyes*
