Outcome of AMEX F/R

Soooo, I get to my office this morning and checked my voice mail. Message from Mrs. Scruggs (?) to give American Express a call. I thought, Oh dear baby Jesus....I'm not in the mood today for their nonsense. So before I called, I logged on to my account and much to my surprise, the big red message saying my accounts were suspended was gone. I called the number she left, and the lady I spoke with was very sincere. She thanked me for sending the requested info to them, and told me the FR was complete and to enjoy charging with my Amex. I asked her how often this would be done and told her I was real hesitant to even use them due to the fact that my accounts can be frozen at any given time. She replied by saying that this has become a normal process for Amex  customers and that I should not worry about it being done again. Yeah....right!!! We shall see. I believe that these cards will still have a back row seat in my wallet!!Smiley Wink

Good!  I'm glad to hear that you'll get to go ahead and enjoy the benefits of of the new CC.  I'm waiting on my F/R to kick in anytime now... I just got my Delta in the mail and it is going to be converted to a Blue Cash on 8/15... Now the wait begins...

Happy for you though!

Re: Outcome of AMEX F/R

Seriously is this something I should be worried about?  I've had an acct with them since Oct 05 and they keep up'ing my limit.  Should I expect them to do this to me at any point in time?  Or is this something they just do to new accounts?  TIA.

From what I've read and learned along the way, they do target the newer customers, but eventually, everybody will have it done.
