Have any of the positive or negative items changed on pages 2 or 3 of your FICO reports?
Along the same lines as Susyquk, re-look at all of your baddies, including CAs. Make sure none of these accounts show any date for August of 2009. This would include Date assigned, date reported, date opened, and date last active.
The higher your score, the more you will be affected by inquiries, lates, judgements, etc. FICO's goal is to get everyone as close to the average FICO score as possible - whatever the current aveerage is. 690? 720?.
Either your current scores are quite high - hence the big hit, or you have a new judjement - or two reporting.
Is the account reporting a balance that was not reported before? Call First Premier and ask them why account number is reporting as 30 days late that was closed in 2006?

I will defer to those who can tell you what to do, but as a general note to anyone applying for mortgages: freeze your reports!!!!!
The CRA's sell lists of those who are applying for mortgages to collection agencies and other fun folks, who then try to see if they can get some leverage to coerce payment. And this is perfectly legal. If you've ever had any problems in the past, especially where it might be difficult to prove that you paid your debt, you are vulnerable.
I don't know that this is what's happening with OP, but keep it in mind.
How do you freeze? Is this the same as opting out?
It is not posting a new balance. It reads "Currently 30 days past due". Balance owed: "0", Past due amount: "0". I called First Premier and spoke with Angela, she stated that it "looks like my account has been mistaken for someone elses", she suggested that I send a dispute letter to all three credit bureaus. I asked her why she could not fix it on her end, since First Premier was responsible for the incorrect post. Needless to say her "help" was useless. I went to PFB and posted a dispute letter to the company, but I have yet to receive a reply. Does anyone know a better contact for First Premier as I don't think I will get anywhere with a regular customer rep.
