Problem with Equifax

Hi all,
I'm hoping that you can give me some advice.  In 2002, I had a Civil Judgement rendered against me in small claims court.  Long story short, it never should have happended and I was able to pay what I owed and the judgement was dismissed.  However, this judgement showed up on my credit report.  I disputed it with Transunion, Experian, and Equifax.  While both Transunion and Experian have removed the dismissed judgement from my credit report, Equifax refuses to remove it stating that it is not recorded as vacated/set aside by the court.  What recourse do I have now?  Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your help.  I really appreciate it.  Smiley Happy

Re: Problem with Equifax

Hi, Lady.  All you need to do is to send them, CMRRR, a copy of the dismissal.  I had to do that with them when the school my daughter attended hired an incompetent bookkeeper to do their books.  At year's end they had me owing more than $3000, and of course, because it was a Christian school I wasn't real careful with the receipts.  Long story short, I refused to pay, knowing I had, and expecting them to do the right thing, but they  turned around and sent it to collections and then suit was filed.  Thankfully, I found the receipts before the judgment had been rendered, but I still had to send the dismissal to Equifax to have the collection removed from my report. It didn't take more than that.  I think I even faxed them a copy of it, but just to be safe, CMRRR. They updated the file within two days, as I recall, as well.  Good luck!
