I have been in the process of trying to improve my credit and I have been monitoring it weekly by downloading my free credit report weekly from annualcreditreport.com. I had a Prosper loan charged-off back in 2017 and for some reason, this week it just dropped off of my credit reports from all three agencies. Any chance that this will pop back on my reports next week? was this an oversight on someone's part. Just curious if anybody else has had this kind of thing happen. I did not dispute this account with the credit agencies or send any goodwill letters to Prosper, but for some reason it is gone. I am worried that next week it will just pop back up.
Not familiar with prosper, but some lenders will stop reporting on, or remove an account when they sell it to a collection agency. It could also be a mistake or they pulled the file to verify details or forward plans before reinserting.

@Anonymous It's a wait and see type scenario. Actually in my experience I have had a couple of derogs fall off my reports (before they were due to) and never showed their ugly faces again.
It may happen to you also.
This actually happened to me as well this year.
the charge off is gone and no collection agency is reporting or has contacted me recently. Mysterious.

I have seen it go both ways. Mostly when it is removed it stays gone, but recently my SO had a CO that was close to aging off removed for a single day and the placed back on the following day. It did age off a month or so later, but interestingly when it came off for the single day there was no score change and when it aged off permanently, there was a small score increase.
