Quick question on reporting dates

Do CC report on the same date every month or does it normally vary by a few days?

Re: Quick question on reporting dates

Seems to vary.  Weekends get in the way once in a while, holidays pop up, etc.

Re: Quick question on reporting dates

Thanks - I noticed that most reported on Friday or Monday but did see 2 report on a Saturday, so was just wondering.

Re: Quick question on reporting dates

The Credit CARD Act of 2009 says:

"Requires the due date to fall on the same day each month. If the fixed due date normally falls on a Saturday, Sunday or legal banking holiday, then the due date shall be pushed to the next business day after the date. This measure prohibits due dates to fall on a weekend or holiday, unless the card company accepts payments on those days."

The statement date (when the credit card account commonly reports) is generally a grace period of 25 days prior to the due date, so the statement date could depend on how many days in the calendar month.
