Receiving the same "New Account" alert EVERY DAY

Hi all,

I've got a strange one for you -- searching the forums and Googling has turned up absolutely nothing similar. That never happens!

Last month, I opened an Apple Card account. Yay! Last week the account began to report, and I received a New Account alerts from the various monitoring services.

And then additional New Account alerts every day since.

Every day, I am told by Experian, MyFico and Credit Secure that I have a new account. And I acknowledge the alert. And then the next day, the cycle repeats. This has been happening for the past five days.

To be clear, absolutely nothing is wrong with how the account appears on my report -- it's not listed multiple times or anything like that. And the Open Date is correct. But something is triggering Experian to think that it is a new account every single day.

Apart from the alerts being disruptive, they're not doing any obvious damage. But it is weird. Has anyone ever experienced anything remotely like this?

Thank you!!!

Can't say that I've ever had such an issue. Is it just triggering on one bureau or all of them? If one, maybe just a glitch somewhere.

Thanks for the quick response. It's *just* Experian that's triggering. Super strange: the account is perfect on my actual report. It's just that every day since has been Groundhog Day!!

My guess is that it's a glitch in the system of Experian. I would keep an eye on it for sure just to make sure all is well but shy of any changes I would worry too much. However I do understand how annoying the alerts can be. Here's to hoping whatever it is works itself out.

If you are using multiple services to monitor your reports, each and every one will notify you, and each and every one will notify you as they detected new account on each three CRA.

Notifications aren't per account only they are per CRA, also.

Just from the CMS' you listed above, you will get at 9 alerts. If you have additional ones, add those too.

I receive these alerts periodically from Experian products. Upon calling Experian says it is a glitch in the database and not to worry because they have the correct information. The alert have triggered MYFICO once or twice but this is definitely an Experian glitch. No information was ever changed however always watch your report and call when you see something out of the ordinary.
