Reinsertion/Reports--Verizon account popping on and off of reports

Does anyone have any info on what the consumer can do when TU,EQ, AND EX concerning a CO Verizon wireless acct shows amount owed $1184 and then removes to $ 984 and then back to $1184 and didnt give any notice to me the consumer just reinserted amounts as they pleased..No 5 day anything from neither agencies..I do have hard copies to prove it..
Can I possible argue this for a removal?

Re: Reinsertion/Reports

At any point were any of the TLs actually removed?

Or did they just update and change info as part of a dispute?

Re: Reinsertion/Reports

No it wasnt removed..And there was no dispute..Just added I made a payment on a Charged off account and then removed it....I had disputed some lates earlier with EQ and EX b/c Ex was erroneously reporting a late everyday since 2006 (wth) and Eq was reporting no lates and all of a sudden a late reported and I disputed it and they removed it and later on placed it back..

I disputed it and told the agent that they had reinserted it and walla it was gone within 10 minutes..But I never disputed paying b/c I had not but they showed up that I had paid and then removed it without the proper protocol for reinsertion...

Do I have anything to stand on as far as getting this acct removed?

Re: Reinsertion/Reports

bren, I don't know if this is a Verizon issue or CRA issue. I would think maybe Verizon, since it has affected all three reports.

Re: Reinsertion/Reports

I think that it is a creditor issue. I have had Meridian haunt me for years like that. They change account #'s and dollar amounts to keep it alive. I finally decided that I would just let it fall off (10/07), since I was locked in credit hell anyway. It came off in October from EX, then in Nov, it showed up on TU & EX, giving me a 21 point hit on EX. I disputed, it came off of both and I got an 8 point increase. It better not show up again.

Re: Reinsertion/Reports

No matter how many times it is reinserted the date for removal should never be longer than 7 yrs from the date of delinquency with the OC.  That being said, depending on the fees and such that you are being charged, added on each time the account is sold to a CA, the amount can vary.  The thing is that it can reappear on your credit file anytime within the 7 year reporting period as long as the info is accurate.

The thing to look out for is the date scheduled for removal or the date of delinquency with the OC changing.  When that happens, you have a valid reaging complaint.
